Grateful & Blessed ... 27 years and counting :)

Thank you so much for a FABULOUS birthday yesterday. I was inundated with Birthday wishes from all over the place, people who I have never spoken to since high school to best friends, to family, to previous drill team directors (yay!) and the list goes on. Those wishes made my actual birthDay wonderful.

Though this past weekend was full of birthday bonuses. Friday, on our adults-only retreat, David and indulged in one of the world's best desserts at Screendoor in Dallas. This Chocolate Moon Pie, combined with the jalapeno cornbread and risotto jambalaya was PERFECT... then we retreated to a king bed where there was no wake up call via alarm clock or 2-yr.old.

Saturday was another perfect celebration of Sweet Tomatoes, again, toddler free, and we purchased a Mac for the family computer.... Yes, it truly was Mac-tastic and Snow Leopard is simply too awesome for words. Plus, this resulted in us finally installing my birthday present of Adobe Photoshop complete with several different Adobe bonuses. I cannot wait to figure it all out! You just know this means super great enhancements to any scrapbook page I get my hands on, though I think a small investment in an 'Adobe-for-dummies' may be needed to speed the process since we purchased from the Duke store at student-discount there isn't much instruction. Saturday finished with a nice family taco (extra lean ground turkey-tacostyle) salad and cathcing up on recorded TV fun.

Sunday began with church then a fabulous birthday lunch with the Martin family, followed by ice cream cake yummies and celebrations. THANK YOU for a great lunch/dessert/celebration. Then we were off to a mini-labor day party and again, another relaxing night at the Martin household.

Monday was SUPER great since David was in town and NOT at work. :) Faith ventured to BuyBuyBaby with me to check out some baby registry items. For anyone out there, they ROCK and are way better than Babies R Us (to which I am an avid supporter of). I admit, it is a little strange to register for #2, since we have most of what we need and then we also don't know what we are having, however, we had a great time. Lunch was the prefect Chipolte style family lunch followed by a 3 hour nap for Miss Faith-that was a perfect treat. We finished the day with my family at Del Frisco's wear the food was great and Faith was on a roll with making potty requests (it would be too perfect to have her potty-trained by yesterday, but we are SO close!) Thank you mom and dad for dinner & endless celebrations!

Tuesday-actual birthday Day was packed full of Faith at school (no hitting today!) and work (wear my wonderful 6-8 yr olds were on exceptional behavior). I was scared to tell them it was my birthday in fear it would jinxed there outstanding-ness. Nothing too tremendouns EXCEPT all the AWESOME birthday wished that kept coming in AND the most perfect card from my hubby. Not only was the actual card good but the hand written part brought me to tears. you are my prince charming honey, thank you for making my heart smile and my feet dance. :)
