Butterflies, Potty Treats & Wildcats

What an eventful Friday....
We began with trip to the Heard Museum in McKinney with both Gigi and Grandma to see their Butterfly Exhibit. Faith was very excited and had been looking forward to seeing butterflies since our last visit to a butterfly exhibit didn't exactly go as planned.
Once we entered into the Butterfly Greenhouse there was an overwhelming number of butterflies that surrounded us. Faith was amazed, and though she enjoyed the exhibit the gravel seemed to captivate her a bit more. She did get the hang of it and thoroughly enjoyed her grandma time.

Next, we have great news that Faith is working hard on potty training. She tells me when she needs to go, we go, we have dry diapers, and we have magic Potty Treats...aka Twizzlers. Surprise, nothing else seems to captivate her attention like pure sugar, not toys, stickers, dancing, singing, anything.... so this works and it is truly amazing what a 1/4 inch of a Twizzler can make her do. Though we have seen some of the WORST tantrums when she can't physically make a potty (despite all her efforts) and simply refuses to leave the bathroom. This is fine at home, but in public restrooms I have been seen carrying out a 2 year old who is screaming 'I want to go potty" I swear people think I am torturing her or somehow refusing to let her go... if they only knew the real story.

Finally, Faith went to her first ever Plano Senior High School Football game v.Temple. She was decked out in her Wildcat attire, complete with tattoos, paws, bells and whistles. She was completely captivated by the waving Paws and since then has not stopped talking about her wildcats.
