okay, seriously....

maybe we will just have to be a little honest.
and ask for some forgiveness
i am way behind. waaaay behind on photo editing, posting, sharing, blogging, commenting, and just simply engaging in the world of facebook, blogger ... you name it, i haven't done it. and i apologize.i couldn't tell you what was happening in our own town, the state or the country, much less the entire world if it wasn't for someone else, primarily my husband, keeping me in check. i have had tunnel vision; completely, wonderfully, entirely focused on our little family and its greatest joys : each other.

Me & the Mr. ventured to Paris right before turkey day. it was a mere scramble of things we had to do wanted to do and need to do. and we did them. Isabelle went with us and watching her and the Mr. bond was just amazing and i will never forget those days, watching the two of them grow closer and closer. Isabelle asking for a calling for Dada and the Mr. simply melting at her every coo. and boy oh boy did I just LOVE and APPRECIATE the generous amount of dirty nasty stinky diapers he tended to. Though we never did feel complete with out Miss Faith, we were thrilled to get so much accomplished. {more on that later}

Turkey day was exhausting. Yummy, fun, but yes, we were tired. Thankful, stuffed and tired. Two dinners  in 1 day. and a third 2 days later. Yes, a total of 3 dinners in 3 days. I believe my body did not know what to do with itself. We enjoyed eating like Parisians for 3 days only to follow it by eating like Americans. haha. In between the food we did some traditional Black Friday shopping, and I had a mini Christmas meltdown, seeing it was the first year since we have been married that I did not break out a single Christmas ANYTHING.

This leads me to our next point. We are getting out here. Not Texas...yet, but the house. It's a bit crazy, but we don't want to cram it all in right before Christmas so we are packing it up and moving in with family for the holidays. So I can kind of pretend I decorated and be happy that I least pulled down our stockings and Dirk, our family Elf {on the Shelf }. Faith got to tell Isabelle all about him and now, daily, there is a sisterly search {with the big one leading the pack } for Dirk.

Speaking of sisters. They are hilarious. Isabelle picks on and yells at Faith {in her baby babble}. She doesn't let her sleep {read:nap} and she tries endlessly to get whatever it is she can't have. Faith triess very hard to pretend it bothers her, but secretly she loves it and encourages it. I am really enjoying watching them grow as sisters {nagging, fighting, giggles and all}.

all in all, we are a total mess, a perfectly, crazy, wonderfully blessed mess. i am not too sure how much I will be posting before we leave for our 2011 adventure, but i do promise to post often while we are there. if you haven't heard from us, just say a little prayer for us and our transition and we will keep you all tuned in. LOTS of LOVE and BLESSINGS for you ALL during this holiday season. Esp {baby Boyer , baby Grayer Cook, baby Muir, baby Bailey, and all your mamas and dadas to be {some again}, and everyone traveling/overcoming/healing/wedding-planning/falling in love{new and old}} YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS!

and before we go, here is the view from our new front porch

Hi Christine,

I love your blog! Just wondered what kind of camera you use and also what photo editing software you use. Keep enjoying Paris!
