Passport for Faith... yay

We are taking a family adventure to Europe in May with Gigi, Papa, Aunt Sara & Uncle Chris... therefore, Faith needed her first passport. We had to wait to get a 'more' recent picture before applying, even though I am sure she will look different and hopefully have more hair in May.

We went last Friday to apply and were turned away because we didn't have an appointment - though when I called them the week prior they said nothing about making an appointment, simply to come before the lunch crowd. So then we made an appointment, at a different post office, for today.

This time we were in downtown Durham in a beautiful post office, we had all of our paperwork and we were thrilled to finally get this taken care of. While standing in line, I looked over at David and noticed a nice sign above his head...and took this picture.

Yes, that's right, it says "Fallout Shelter." That sort of put everything in a new perspective, but thank goodness we now know where to go in case of this emergency. :)
